Ms. Vickie Cruz

Director

Hello, my name is Vickie Cruz. I am a native Texan and have lived in Fort Worth most of my life. I have been at Angel Montessori since 2007. I’ve always had a passion for education and in specific, the Montessori style of teaching and philosophy. From serving as a Toddler teacher to now center director, I’ve found that AMS is where I belong. There was even a time, I was able to co teach with one of my own daughters, which made the Angel Montessori experience worth it. After being the Transition teacher for over a year I was asked to help in the office giving me optimal insight to the business side of my educational passion. Merging those two experiences I have become what I am today. And as the old saying goes “the rest is history.”

Ms. Ashton Guerra

Assistant Director

My name is Ashton Guerra. I am a proud native of Fort Worth, TX, wife and mother to 2 incredible kids (Elliott 11 and Easton 8). I started at Angel Montessori in 2008 in the Toddler Class. I’ve worked in many classrooms to fulfill the needs of the school which prompted me to get Montessori certified. After having my oldest son, we saw the need for an infant room where he and I both started our infant journey together. Ever since, the babies have had a special place in my heart. As I could’ve moved to any other room, I stayed with the Infant Class and enjoyed that for many years. Last year I became the Infant Coordinator and this yea r the Teacher Coordinator. I am excited to navigate my new role and continue my legacy here at Angel Montessori.

Mission and Philosophy

We believe the goal of early childhood education should not be to fill your child with facts, but rather to cultivate your child’s own natural desire to learn. We offer a specifically planned, stimulating environment which affords children the opportunity to develop foundational habits, attitudes, skills, and ideas necessary for a lifetime of creative thinking and learning.

We love all of our students and families at Angel Montessori!

Here are just some of the wonderful things they had to say about their experiences at our school.

Testimonials

We have 2 kiddos at Angel (3.5 year old and a 5 month old). If I could give more stars I would! Our oldest is incredibly engaged and curious and comes home every day excited to tell us all about his day. We are constantly amazed by how much they instill a love of learning while keeping it fun. Our baby LOVES being dropped off and is all smiles, my heart is filled with joy knowing she is being cared for so well. Overall, the teachers at Angel love our kids and we could not ask for better partners in helping our kids grow and learn!

I have 2 children at Angel Montessori and our experience has been wonderful. It’s such a blessing to have peace of mind knowing they’re in good hands. The teachers are very caring and nurturing, the facilities are awesome, and my kids come home happy! I love the flexibility and the amount of outdoor time — you really can’t get the same type of experience anywhere else.

Angel Montessori is a great SCHOOL with a neighborhood feel. I do not feel that this is a typical “daycare”. My daughter comes home learning something new everyday. The teachers are great!

5 stars or more!! We had moved from another country sometime back and my daughter was distraught and not happy with her current daycare. The way this school took her under their wings and nurtured her is unparalleled. A BIG thank you to the owner and all the teachers.

Program & Tuition

Parent Involvement

In the Montessori program, parent involvement is considered crucial.

Parent Involvement

Parents are the link between the home and the school. Our philosophy is to maintain continuity between the school and home through the participation of parents. We have multiple parent activities to build this continuity, including classroom observations, parent education events, holiday events, and parent-teacher conferences.

Parent involvement is greatly appreciated in our school community. We are grateful for the parental time that is donated to running and improving your child’s school.

The Angel Montessori Way

Our teachers foster the desire to learn through the following areas:

Angel Montessori Way

In this area, children develop coordination and motor skills while experiencing everyday activities. They become confident while learning good work habits.

Since young children take in their world through their senses, this area helps children distinguish, categorize, and relate new information.

In the Montessori classroom, children learn the phonetic sounds of letters before they learn the alphabetical names in sequence. They are encouraged to explore books to find answers to their questions.

Since young children take in their world through their senses, this area helps children distinguish, categorize, and relate new information.

Children learn common land formations, such as islands and peninsulas. Large wooden puzzle maps are used for children to learn countries, climates, and products.

Math is learned through discovery rather than by verbal instruction. Children have tangible items to move as they learn to count. Montessori develops an early enthusiasm for the world of numbers.
